Adam Kluge focuses his DPhil research in Criminology at the University of Oxford on the stigmatization experienced by families of offenders, situating his work at the confluence of prisoners’ families research, penal governance, and the politics of stigma. His innovative approach reconsiders the implications of stigma as a mechanism of political and social control, offering fresh insights into the experiences of offenders' kin as subjects of systemic marginalization. Before his time in Oxford, Adam engaged in policy analysis and legal aid, contributing to the efforts of organizations such as the ACLU and the Southern Poverty Law Center. His academic excellence is recognized through awards such as the Routledge Prize for his master's dissertation at Oxford, building on a solid foundation of a dual BA in Political Science
