My name is Sílvia Grothe (she/her), and I was born and raised in Barcelona (Spain). I am reading for the Msc. in Comparative Social Policy at Oxford University. I graduated in European Public Health from the University of Maastricht in 2020, completing part of my academic training at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. I have experience working as a research assistant for the European Commission, the John Hopkins-UPF Public Policy Centre, and the Clinic Foundation for Biomedical Research. My research interest focuses on how social inequity is accumulated throughout the life course and how it influences people's health and well-being.
